| Welcome to the virtual exhibition |
The Virtual Money Museum has been officially launched. The Museum is modelled on physical museums insofar as it will hold a permanent exhibition of the history of the R.O.C. coins and banknotes. Special themed exhibitions will also be mounted. The museum is easy to browse and interactive; the public can access our digital collections online in a lively multimedia format. In addition, the museum carries out the same functions as provided by a brick-and-mortar museum, such as exhibition, collection, education and research.
The museum’s permanent collection details the history of the country’s banknotes and coins and contains precious exhibits that tell the story of the national currency. Themed exhibitions enable users to learn about and appreciate the beauty of banknotes and coins from a new perspective.
